The IGS-820TF-PN is a compact and robust unmanaged industrial switch, featuring 6 Gigabit RJ45 ports (10/100/1000 Mbps) and 2 dual-speed SFP slots (100/1000Base-X) for fibre uplinks. The device is housed in an IP30-rated metal enclosure, designed for DIN rail or wall mounting, and built to operate in harsh environments with temperatures ranging from –40 °C to +75 °C.

All RJ45 ports support 10/100/1000 Mbps auto-negotiation and the Auto-MDI/MDI-X function, allowing direct connection to Ethernet devices without the need for special cables. The SFP ports are compatible with both 100Base-FX and 1000Base-SX/LX/BX modules, offering the flexibility needed to extend the fibre network over varying distances.

From an industrial automation perspective, the IGS-820TF-PN supports PROFINET Conformance Class A (CC-A). It features an enhanced function for recognising PROFINET traffic and prioritising its delivery, forwarding critical packets before ordinary data traffic, thereby ensuring real-time communication between PLCs, sensors and actuators. Furthermore, it supports features such as PTCP filtering and QoS optimised for the PROFINET protocol, helping to ensure stability and low latency in control networks.

The model is equipped with a redundant power supply input (9–48 V DC or 24 V AC) with reverse polarity protection, to ensure operational continuity even in the event of a failure in one power source.
