Declaration of Performance
The new European Regulation CPR 305/2011, which came into force on 1 July 2013, replaces the CPD Directive 89/106 / EEC and aims to govern both the introduction and free circulation of construction products on the European market. The regulation introduces, in place of the EU Declaration of Conformity, the Declaration of Performance (DOP).
After the Notified Body releases the certificate of Constancy of Performance (AVCP) or the test report for the classes from Eca to Dca, the manufacturer must draw up a Declaration of Performance (DoP).
The declaration is an official document that must be available to those who request it: in it the manufacturer identifies the product and describes its performance in relation to its key properties such as safety in case of fire (reaction to fire according to EN 50575 ) and the release of any hazardous substances, except when not required by the product class.
Each DoP corresponds to a single product and will be uniquely numbered with alphanumeric characters. The DoP contains: Manufacturer name, Product code, indication of product use, type of AVCP system, laboratory identification number (Notified body) declaration of performance, date of entry.
