The course on Passive Optical LAN (POL) networks provides an overview of the use of passive optical infrastructure based on GPON technology for implementing LANs in business and enterprise environments.

The focus of the course will be on theoretical, installation and implementation aspects with an in-depth look at application areas and major components such as splitters, OLTs and ONTs. Participants will learn techniques for designing, configuring and managing a POL network.

The final practical part includes termination of an optical cable in a box offering hands-on operational experience.
