ANSI/TIA 568.2-D approves MPTL solutions!

MPTL (Modular Plug Terminated Link) is a network configuration where a horizontal cable is terminated at one end with an RJ-45 plug for direct connection to a device.

With the release of the new ANSI / TIA-568.2-D standard, which replaces the previous ANSI / TIA-568-C.2 version, this type of connection is officially recognized as a usable option when connecting devices through a ” standard “connection, that is with the installation of socket, support and patch cord, is too hard and impractical as for example in the case of network points for cameras or Access Points.

Our shielded and unshielded CCS® Easy Crimp® field plugs are the ideal solution for MTPL applications and can be used to make consolidation points or customized patch cords. CCS® Easy Crimp® plugs are UL certified and compliant with ISO / IEC 11801 – EN50173 standards  and suitable for the realization of Category 6/Class E and 6A /Class EA transmission channels up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet.

KEY BENEFITS:

  • Easy and quick tool-less connection thanks to the the Easy Crimp® termination system
  • suitable for solid and flexible conductors from 22 to 27 AWG
  • reusable in case of improper connection
  • support PoE, PoE + and PoE ++  and IEEE-802.3 af/at/bt applications.
