Description

MPO/MTP®–LC/SC fan-out minicore cables are pre-terminated fibre optic solutions designed to convert high-density MPO/MTP® multi-fibre connections into single LC or SC interfaces. Ideal for connecting MPO/MTP® backbones to network equipment or optical modules, they enable rapid installation, reduce cabling time and ensure neat and efficient fibre management, whilst delivering high optical performance and reliable connectivity for high-density networks and data centres.

General characteristics

  • Minicore cable type with single or double sheath, LSZH sheathing material
  • Number of optical fibers: 8, 12 or 24
  • Fibre types: single-mode G.652.D and G.657.A1, multimode OM3 and OM4
  • Outer diameter / Maximum cable pull: 3 mm / 140 N for the single-sheath version; 4.5 mm / 450 N for the double-sheath version
  • Sheath color: depending on the type of optical fibre
  • Fringe length: 50 cm (adjustable on request); tube diameter: 2 mm
  • Euroclass: Cca s1b,d0,a1 (B2ca on request)
  • Length: from 1 to 1.000 meters

Termination Characteristics

  • Connector types Side A: MPO/MTP® male or female; Side B: LC or SC, Simplex or Duplex
  • Number of fibres in MPO connectors: 8, 12 or 24 fibres
  • MPO connector insertion loss: Standard: ≤ 0.75 dB; Low loss: ≤ 0.35 dB; LC/SC connectors: ≤ 0.2 dB
  • Polishing: PC for MM; PC, UPC and APC for SM
  • Fan-out polarity: type A or B (only with LC-SC Duplex connectors)

  • CRP Regulation: EN 50575 Euroclass Cca s1b,d0,a1 (B2ca on request)
  • Reaction to fire: EN 50399; EN 60332-1-2

  • Emission of acidic gases: EN 60754-1/2

Colour of the outer sheath

  • 9/125 G.652.D and G.657.A1: yellow
  • 50/125 OM3: aqua
  • 50/125 OM4: aqua or viola erika
